Every year I look forward to the BookMarks Festival of Books and Authors, the first weekend of September in Winston-Salem. This year, I’m especially stoked to moderate the “Southern Identity in Writing” panel featuring Jeremy B. Jones, Mary Alice Monroe, and NC Literary Hall of Fame inductee Robert Morgan.
Later that afternoon, I’ll introduce Lev Grossman, whose third book in The Magicians Trilogy, titled The Magician’s Land, is out now. My wife and I are huge fans of his books, and have recommended them to countless people. To say I’m looking forward to doing him justice with a good introduction, well, that would be an understatement.
